Graduates will most likely find employment in private practice clinics. Some graduates have successfully pursued and acquired positions as Unit Clerks and Coordinators for Hospital Departments and as Practice Managers. Many times those students have previous management backgrounds or have demonstrated an exceptional understanding of the principles associated with medical administrative functions and responsibilities.

Most graduates will find work as either medical receptionists or medical office assistants.

Industry Statistics

  • There is a constant demand for highly skilled medical administrative personnel. The demand will remain constant through at least 2010. After 2010, there may be a rise in the number of positions available as administrative services for the increased reliance of the baby boomers on the healthcare infrastructure.
