The question is not so much about what kind of career you will have with a Health Sciences Degree. The question is more about how far and fast your career will grow with a degree under your belt.
ACT College will assist in helping you find a career in the Allied Health field. We expect the area of placement to match up with the Health Sciences concentration you have chosen. For example, students in the Medical Assisting concentration will likely start their careers as Medical Assistants.
We know what you are thinking.....why get the degree? Glad you asked.
The answer is very simple - the market is changing. Like all industries, Allied Health facilities are being asked to do more with less and that means hiring people that can fill a variety of roles beyond their core responsibilities. A well-rounded education that includes some general education helps you fill their needs better.
Beyond that, we want to make sure you have EVERY opportunity open to you. Allied Health facilities are consolidating and many independent doctors and dentists have chosen to join forces rather than go it alone. That means more people battling for the same positions.
We believe having the Associates Degree will help you stand out from the crowd as these facilities look to hire a more well rounded employee. We also believe that the Associates Degree will help you more easily open the doors into other areas like hospital and ambulatory careers.

A picture can often say it louder. In looking at the graphic above, you will notice that the income level rises along with the level of education. What's their conclusion? Get that degree and you will likely earn more money.
