According to the Department of Labor's Bureau of Labor Statistics, Medical Assisting will continue to be one of the ten fastest growing occupations during the next 10 years.
The increased demands on healthcare providers and facilities makes multi-skilled graduates with associate degrees desirable to area employers. Graduates who pursue and acquire their Limited X-Ray license upon graduation will command $1-4 more per hour than a Medical Assistant without the additional training.
The Medical Assistant with Limited X-Ray will also find more opportunities for employment in both general and specialized settings. The program increases the likelihood of graduates finding employment in specialty facilities for Orthopedics, Urgent Care, and Podiatry.
